Stone beaches that make you curse with every step, rough, choppy seas the colour of milky tea, scavenger seagulls that will, and do, steal the chips right out of your hand, and gloomy-grey storm clouds brooding out on the horizon – all the makings of a quintessential English (summer?) holiday in the seaside town of Brighton.
Clichés aside, the clouds and dark skies do actually lend themselves to some great sunsets and interesting photo backdrops, which is fortunate, when you consider the sun to cloud ratio in this part of the world (sorry, couldn’t resist…)
Most of these images are taken around the seafront and Brighton Pier, one of the key draw cards for tourists to the town. However, rest assured that Brighton is not only about fish and chips on the beach and eating ice cream while strolling along the seafront. We’ll be posting more about Brighton shortly, but in the meantime, enjoy the photos!
